Located on geological structures formed over 13 million years ago, in the place where the East meets the West, the Orheiul Vechi valley has the historical footprint of the legendary Dragon. This mythical character, known as Gustar, is encountered in many legends of the Eurasian nations.

Over the centuries the dragon Gustar was the protector of this land situated in the middle of the medieval river. Due to the power of the dragon, the lands were always fertile and rich. The current descendants of the ancient nations bring homage to their protector at the end of August, when celebrating the “Gustar” feast, which comes from the name of the hottest month of the year.

On 19th and 20th of august, 2017, the dragon Gustar will return to strength in his native nest! These days we will celebrate the summer, life and wealth of our lands with dances on the rhythms of the ethno music.
